How You Can Get Involved
Planned Giving / Endowments – Gifts that keep on giving. Many people regularly volunteer and/or give financial assistance to their favorite non-profit organizations... but when they're gone, their support is greatly missed. By leaving a gift of any size in your will, or a gift from your estate, you can continue to help organizations that are making an important difference in the community. Please talk with your attorney and Dove House if you are interested in a gift that keeps on giving! Honorarium/Memorial Gifts – A great way to honor or remember a special person in your life. Donate Needed Items In kind donations such as phone cards, gift certificates, bus tickets, and food items are much appreciated. Check our Shelter Wish List for current needs. Donate Your Used Cell Phone Dove House collects used cell phones to be refurbished and given to victims of domestic violence. Phones that are unable to be refurbished are recycled, with proceeds going directly to client services programs. Take Action Sign up for our email alerts and become part of our statewide policy and legislative response. Our alerts provide detail on the issue, talking points, and instructions on who to contact. Volunteer We have volunteers who assist us in many ways, including working with donations, getting groceries for the shelter, providing childcare during parent's appointments, and organizing collections of needed supplies for the shelter. Volunteers select their hours and jobs to match their skills, training and availability. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer at Dove House, call us at 360 385-5392. |
